The Garden City Teachers' Association is proud to announce that over the last 14 years "GC For A Cure" has raised over $205,000 for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, $11,000 for Lung Cancer Research Foundation, $24,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, $41,000 for the Michele White Scholarship Fund, $13,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, and $9,000 for Kids Need More.

As one of the nation's premier cancer centers, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is committed to exceptional patient care, leading-edge research, and superb educational programs. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Michele White Scholarship Fund
Michele White taught Art at Stewart School for 20 years. She had a passion for education and possessed a kindness that endeared her to a great many students, parents, and colleagues. She is remembered as a wonderful teacher who encouraged her students to express themselves through Art and she taught them how it can enrich their lives. For 33 years, RMHC in New Hyde Park, has been creating communities of support to keep families together and near the medical care their ill or injured children need, when they need it most.
